Our consultants work on a volunteer basis because they believe that improving the effectiveness of organizations can make a meaningful difference to the people those organizations serve.
PROJECT STRUCTURE
Our teams work to provide strategic insights to each client’s organization. Each client is assigned to a team that consists of a Consulting Director and Team Leader, who lead day-to-day operations and communication, and five Student Consultants. Projects last for a full semester and conclude when the team present their findings and send completed deliverables requested by the client. Clear and focused scopes are conducive to an effective, actionable deliverable — examples include:
Strategizing ways to reduce costs and diversify revenue streams.
Conducting market research on key demographic behaviors
Identifying favorable locations for program expansion
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Our consultants are required to undergo a rigorous three-stage selection process and then engage in quality training before they are eligible to consult:
Students must have a demonstrated strong academic record
Candidates must submit an application outlining their relevant experience and ability
Shortlisted candidates undergo a series of interviews to ensure that their motivations and values are consistent with those of the organization

In addition to this recruitment process, we implement other methods to ensure the quality of our consulting services, including:
Matching students with advisors who work at top consulting firms
Inviting speakers from nonprofits and consulting firms to club-wide meetings
Engaging university professors as mentors for student consultant teams
Enabling students to the use global 180 Degrees resources to access an international pool of knowledge and expertise
